Cancer Resources Kiosk Initiative
The diagnosis of a fatal disease like cancer is very stressful and traumatic, but patients today have more treatment options than ever. Patients and their families can choose between traditional or alternative medical treatments, or may take an integrated approach that combines the two. Despite these advances, however, the maximum benefit from the expansion of treatment options available were not fully satisfied.Over the years, use has been rather limited due to the lack of a common access point to these resources, said Dr. Robert Galen, a scientist and professor at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy.
